Adjusting To Blessings
We often discuss prayer for blessings and even the quietness of the waiting season. But how do we handle the blessing we prayed for once it arrives?

From survival mode to living in prayer fulfillment.
I did not expect my blessings to be an adjustment, but they were.
What do I mean by that? We may ask for things we're not prepared for. We can be physically ready to receive but are we mentally, spiritually and financially ready to maintain and adjust? For example, when I first moved into my apartment I was so ecstatic. It was everything I prayed for and yet I still operated in survival mode. Prior to the move, I was a BUSY BEE. I kept myself busy to avoid feeling anything. I wasn’t used to stability or permanence, so I was mentally and physically everywhere. When I finally moved into a place of my own, I still had my frantic and dysfunctional mind. The routine I had established for survival was detrimental now that I had entered stability and freedom.
In this blog, I'd like to share some of the things that have helped me on this journey of embracing and adjusting to blessings. While also discussing some things I do to eliminate old beliefs that contradict the new life I'm establishing.
Sometimes adjusting to blessings starts with SLOWING down enough to see you’re standing right in it.
Reflect and Release:
Take time to reflect on your blessings and the positive changes happening in your life. Do a deep dive into your thoughts and emotions. Ask yourself: Do I feel worthy or unworthy of these blessings? Why? What old beliefs am I still holding onto? Are these beliefs serving me positively or holding me back? By bringing awareness to these conflicting beliefs, you can begin the process of releasing them.
Challenge and Replace:
Dismantling old beliefs requires conscious effort. Challenge their validity by questioning their origins and impact on your life. Replace these limiting beliefs with empowering ones that align with your newfound blessings and aspirations.
For example, if you held the belief that you were unworthy of success (which I often do) replace it with the empowering belief that you are deserving and capable of greatness. Affirmations can be a powerful tool in this process. Repeat positive statements daily, such as "I am worthy of the blessings I have received," "I am capable of creating the life I desire." Gradually, these affirmations will reshape your mindset, allowing you to fully embrace your blessings.
Surround Yourself with Positive Influences:
Surround yourself with people who uplift and support your journey as you step into your blessings. Seek out individuals who align with your new beliefs and values. Engage in communities or groups that encourage personal growth and transformation. By surrounding yourself with positive influences, you create an environment that reinforces your new life and helps you dismantle everything that contradict your progress.
By reflecting on our blessings, challenging and replacing, asking WHY and seeking support and growth, we can start the process of embracing the new life we are building for ourselves. Your blessings didn’t happen accidentally. You deserve them, you worked hard for them. It's now time to implement habits to adjust to them.
POWER AFFIRMATIONS:
I am worthy of the blessings I’ve prayed for
I am capable of creating the life I desire
My next move is my best move
