There is a reason attached to it
“Thank Life For Happening, Thank Every Twist And Turn, There Is A Reason For Every Single Thing, There Is A Reason For Every Worry And Concern.”
― Dante Jannicelli
I wanted to explore the question “do life experiences shape your mentality? “I think this question is so complex yet so simple. have you ever wondered why you thought a certain way and then tied it to something from your childhood or past?
I interviewed some of my family members this past week in curiosity. interrogating their mentality and how it has developed through personal life experiences. I asked each person a series of the same questions. The first question being “Do life experiences shape your mentality,” simple.
everyone answered yes.
following the first question, I asked, ‘’If you never had to worry about money, how would you spend your life?” I asked this question in hopes of evoking the mentality of the consciousness and connecting upbringing to decisions. All responses followed a theme connecting to passion. The passion that was developed from experiences is what drove what they would pursue if money wasn’t a problem.
Through talking to each of my family members, I discovered how uniquely different each person’s story is and how insanely crazy the experiences life throws at you are.
Every experience you go through reflects each person you were with, each person that helped raise you, even someone doing the smallest thing for you, has the possibility of shaping the foundation for your entire life.
It is easy to forget you can’t control what experiences life throws at you. When you have no idea of what direction to go in, keep going. When you’re experiencing something you’ve never gone through before, know there is a reason attached to it. It is important to remember, although people will never know what you are going through, you can’t give up on yourself. Your experiences can take you further than you think.
